7 Quick Takes Friday

7.

You guys, the farmer’s market opens next weekend. So excited!

There’s a winter farm market, but it’s inside so it doesn’t have the same vibe as the summer one.

So stinkin’ excited for the produce. The green onions, garlic scapes, chard, and whatever else might be there! What an adventure.

6.

We’re going to Nashville next week for my sister in law’s wedding. Atticus sister is getting marred next Saturday, and we’ll be going down on Wednesday to spend some time before hand.

We’re all in the wedding. Maggie and I will be walking down the aisle together. I’m assuming I’ll probably carry her most of the way, as she’s only walking here and there.

So fun!

5.

Our book club is discussing Hallie’s book Sex, Style, and Substance. Last night we had an excellent discussion of the first five chapters.

If you haven’t gotten yourself a copy of the book yet, go do it now! It’s still available on Amazon.

4.

Maggie is napping, I’m eating a Wendy’s junior cheeseburger, and watching the Cutting Edge. God bless Friday.

3.

I just realized we’re supposed to be giving up meat on Fridays. I keep forgetting when it’s lunch time. Worst Catholic ever.

2.

Because you see, I remembered this halfway through the cheeseburger. Then I kept eating it anyway.

I can’t let perfectly good food go to waste, can I?

1.

The marriage prep weekend was great. Both of our talks went really well, even though one girl actually rolled her eyes at me when I was talking about NFP.

Oh well, you can’t win them all.

Keep praying for all the couples!

Have a great weekend! Check out Jen for more quick takes.

  1. I hope we get to see a picture of you two walking down the aisle – I bet you’ll look beautiful!

I keep meaning to get the book but haven’t for some wacko reason. I really need to remedy that!

I’m glad your talks went well! An eye roll? Hilarious! (Only because I know the truth now. Old me may have been inner eye rolling. Though neither old me nor new me would have had the balls to actually do it in front of you.)

  2. Easter Friday: Eat Meat!
BTW I had the same lunch plus a frosty float, Wendy’s is definitely worth the longer drive for me sometimes.
Have a safe trip, can’t wait to see the pictures!

  3. I would say that Jesus would not worry about the meat eating. He just wants us to walk with him and do his work so that heaven is the here and now.
An interesting book title. Maybe I can look through it sometime.

  4. Oh man. Our farmers’ market opens this weekend and I’m even dragging my in-laws. I HOPE THEY HAVE RHUBARB!!! :-)
