Hello Friends!
I’m very excited to say that this is the 100th post of this little blog. I know that it’s God’s grace that I have been able to string two interesting sentences together, let alone write 100 posts!
It’s always been my goal in having this blog to write about my Catholic faith, which is the most important thing, and to write about how my relationship with God has impacted my relationship(s) with those closest to me, those not so close, and the world at large, with its beauty and its pain.
Since it wouldn’t make writing nearly as much fun if no one read this baby blog, I am going to use my 100th post to thank first and foremost; God, and then: YOU! Those awesome ladies who take time out of their often hectic schedules to read and comment on my thoughts and ramblings. I feel so humbled to know that the things I write merit five or ten minutes of your busy day!
THANK YOU for your support!
Since my 100th post coincides with the end of the liturgical season, and the rapidly approaching season of Advent (my favorite!), I want to say a special thank you to all of the wonderful women who read and comment on my blog.
Anytime between today and Friday, if you leave me a comment telling me what post you’ve enjoyed most, and how I can improve this blog, I will send you an Advent/Christmas mix with some of my favorite songs for this joyful season!
If you’re at all like me, you are waiting with baited breath for the day after Thanksgiving, to press play on that Christmas CD. I hope you will enjoy the selection I put together.
And thank you again for your support and encouragement; God Bless you all!
Oh my goodness….where do I start?! There are oodles of reasons why I enjoy your blog!
First of all, it’s nice to read blogs of newly-wed women who have the same goals I do of having children and being a stay at home mom.
I love the fact that one of your foci (I had to look that word up to make sure it was real!) is modesy, femininity and TOB and our culture today NEEDS TO HEAR THIS STUFF! Women today are cheating themselves! (Ok, off my soap box now)
I also like how your webpage is organzied. I know that’s probably an OCD thing to say, but I don’t like blogs where you can’t figure out where certain things are. Very pleasing to the eye.
Keep up the amazing work. God bless you in your writings!
I’ve only been following a short while, but I REALLY liked your post on why you follow the teachings of the Catholic church and how you got there. It’s a topic I have been meaning to write about myself, but haven’t found the guts to lay it all out there yet.
I (like Maggie) love the layout of your blog, too. It is not too busy and easy to follow along!
God bless you!
Love your blog – everything about it.
The post with the excerpt from your thesis is one of my favorites!
I agree with Maggie and Michelle – layout is easy to follow and not too ‘busy’.
Congrats on your 100th post!
Ditto to Maggie – good message and look, and it’s great to read about other young married women.
How to choose my favorite post?! Hm, I might have just browsed through all the way back to February. The ones that jumped out to me were Halloween Proposition (Oct 23), Why I Listen to the Catholic Church (Oct 17), and Grief and Life (March 23). And I liked your thesis, too, but since I already blogged about that, I didn’t include it in my list
How can you improve? Hm, I don’t really know. I like what you do – you already have me hooked as a reader!
And finally, I am TOTALLY excited for the day after Thanksgiving so I can start listening to Christmas music.
Thanks for a fun post and congrats on 100!
I think that the post that I enjoyed the most was the one on Adoration: http://fumblingtowardgrace.wordpress.com/2009/09/23/on-why-i-go-to-adoration/ I thought that I had commented at the time, but looking back, there is no comment from me. Hm. Also, I love your honesty, especially during times of great pain. I don’t think that there is anything in particular for you to “improve” just keep working through things and telling us about it!
It is a tremendous encouragement to read your thoughts. Seriously, your “about me” made me so happy since it sometimes feels as if there is no one else out there who takes the spectrum of Church teachings seriously.
To pick one…I would say I love your post called “Chastity as Economic Subversion” best. Thank you for advocating such strong, wholesome, liberating beliefs!
Congratulations on reaching the big 100!
